(Salem, Ore. – March 31, 2021) – Salem Health’s Community Investment Grant program awarded the Latino Business Alliance (LBA) a $2,900 grant to support Café y Pan Dulce, its monthly, free networking series.
LBA’s mission is to strengthen the community by providing educational opportunities for both Latino and non-Latino business owners, as well as professionals seeking to develop diverse intercultural relationships. LBA will use the grant to establish and promote a virtual platform to continue to provide necessary resources and networking opportunities to the small business community in a safe and easily accessible format.
“We are grateful for this grant award to help increase our reach into the communities we serve,” said Jose Gonzalez, LBA president. “A portion of this grant will fund videoconferencing equipment to record presentations and seminars at network events, enabling LBA to share our knowledge resources with a larger audience.”
Through its Community Investment Grant, Salem Health responds to evolving community-identified needs, supporting initiatives that improve health of the people of Marion and Polk counties.
