Changes to e-prescribing controlled substances begin

Prescriptions sent electronically starting Dec. 15

The default to e-prescribing for controlled substances went live on Dec. 15. This means we will begin adhering to the regulatory requirement to send medication prescriptions to pharmacies electronically. Please review the attached tip sheets or click here for more information on e-prescribing in Epic.
You can also access tip sheets through the Salem Health provider dashboard in Epic. For your convenience, here are the tip sheets for cancelling a script, prescribing for controlled substance and prescribing controlled substance for inpatients.
