Salem Health foundations announce scholarships
Feb 28, 2019
The Salem Health Foundation and Salem Health West Valley Foundation scholarship applications are now available for students in medically related fields of study.
The Projects Committee, formerly Salem Health’s Auxiliary, also supports the scholarships.
To find the scholarship application, please visit salemhealth.org/scholarships and click on the “Apply now” link.
- Applicants must have a permanent residence in Marion or Polk County and must have applied to — or been accepted into — a formal training program in a health care field.
- Special consideration will be given to current Salem Health employees, immediate family members and volunteers with more than 60 volunteer hours with Salem Health.
- Community members are also encouraged to apply.
The foundations' scholarship programs began in 1968. Since then, they have awarded more than $3 million in scholarships. That figure includes 75 students from our community who received $156,000 in scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The Projects Committee also has a rich history of supporting students for more than 25 years.
Completed application packets must be received by email at foundation@salemhealth.org no later than 5 p.m. on March 29, 2019. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.
Final selections will be announced by June 1, 2019. Please call 503-814-1790 if you have questions.
The Salem Health Foundations are committed to raising, managing and distributing funds to help Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics achieve their mission of improving the health and well-being of the people and communities they serve.
