Salem Hospital Foundation Grants Scholarships

The Salem Hospital Foundation announces that 98 students in medical or medically related fields will be receiving scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year.

The Salem Hospital Foundation announces that 98 students in medical or medically related fields will be receiving scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. A total of $163,500 in scholarships was awarded to students pursuing degrees in nursing, pharmacy, imaging, and a variety of other medically related programs.

Several named scholarships were awarded in memory of various community members, including the Nita Carter nursing scholarship, the Kathy deMarrais nursing scholarship, the Hattie Kremen nursing scholarship; the Elmera “Tiny” Richardson nursing scholarship, the Grayce & Glola Sigg nursing scholarship, and the John Alsever, MD scholarship. In addition, the Salem Self-Help Nursing Scholarship was awarded through the Salem Foundation.
