You asked, and we listened! We’ve received a lot of comments over the past few years from patients who were frustrated that they couldn’t fill their prescriptions at the hospital before leaving. Instead, many ended up having to get a ride to another local pharmacy and waiting even longer when they weren’t feeling well.
Recognizing this situation, we’ve expanded services to help patients get the medicines they need, when they need them.
The Salem Health Outpatient Pharmacy in Building C is now open seven days a week – and most holidays, too!
The pharmacy hours are now Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays, including Independence Day and Labor Day.
Also, the Meds to Beds program, which brings prescriptions from the pharmacy directly to hospital rooms before patients are discharged, is expanding from four hospital areas to six — with even more expected in the future.
We’re excited to be able to make changes to our services that help our patients and community. If you have an idea to help us make the hospital even better, reach out to us on Facebook or consider joining our new survey community. Even if we can’t make every change right away, we always want to hear from you!
