Your Salem Health email upgrades Aug. 23

Microsoft Office 365’s benefits; what to know and do

We are upgrading Salem Health’s email to Microsoft Office 365 for the entire organization. Medical staff Outlook mailboxes will upgrade on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

What is changing? 

You will now be able to leverage deeper MS Office integration across the MS suite. For example, your Outlook calendar will also be viewable inside of MS Teams. For mobile users, SH email will be available through the Outlook app, Boxer app or native iOS email (links lead to tip sheets).

Things to know:

1. You may receive a pop-up window advising you to restart Outlook due to administrator updates. Restarting Outlook resolves most issues if they occur.
2. If you are on the new version of Outlook, you will not be able to see the calendars of people on the older version until they are also upgraded.
3. After upgrading, you likely will receive emails in batches, and it is normal for Outlook pop ups to occur as updates are applied from Microsoft.
