Both of Salem Health’s foundations are now taking applications for scholarship programs from students in Marion and Polk counties pursuing medically related careers. Applications are separate for each foundation. To support as many students as possible, applicants are asked to apply for only one scholarship.

Salem Health Foundation
An applicant must have a permanent residence in Marion or Polk counties, or be a current employee or family member of a current Salem Health employee. At the time of scholarship application, they must have been accepted into, or have applied to, a formal training program in a health care field. Depending on the specific program of study, there may be one to two years of prerequisite courses to complete prior to applying for the actual program; these prerequisite studies are not eligible for scholarship assistance.

Completed application packets must be received by email at foundation@salemhealth.org by 4 p.m. on March 29, 2018. Applications may also be mailed to the Salem Health Foundation, P.O. Box 14001 Salem, OR 97309 and postmarked by March 25, 2018. No late applications will be accepted.
Final selections will be announced by June 1, 2018. Please contact the foundation office at 503-814-1990 if you have questions.
West Valley Foundation
These scholarships are for students who have a permanent residence in Polk County, or are current West Valley Hospital employees or family members of a current West Valley Hospital employee. Applicants also must have applied to a college in their field of study before applying for the scholarship.

Completed applications packets must be received in the West Valley Hospital administrative office (525 SE Washington St., Dallas) by 4 p.m. on March 29, 2018, or post-marked by March 25, 2018. Applications may also be emailed to wvhfoundation@salemhealth.org. Late applications will not be accepted.
