The OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system will be upgraded from version 6.3 to 8 on Aug. 6. Representatives from OBIX and Salem Health’s information services team will be available to support the transition and answer questions during go-live. Several labor and delivery nurses will be trained as super-users. Tip sheets will be available throughout the unit.
We anticipate the upgrade will not result in any disruption to your current workflow, as the changes are minimal and adjustments are intuitive to navigate.
OBIX offers a learning module to review the changes and the system’s features and functionality. This module takes about 20 minutes or less to complete.
