Tipsheet helps you register for user account

By: Larissa Smith, Salem Health palliative care and adult hospitalists manager

With Salem Health’s palliative care services going through a transition, we want to provide you with educational resources to support and build your skills.

Here is a handy tip-sheet to register with Centers to Advance Palliative Care at no cost to you. When registering and entering the organization field, select Salem Health Medical Group. This information-rich resource is created by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. It provides modules for clinical training, webinars, articles, briefings and more that can help grow your knowledge while also earning CME. Even ABIM MOC points!

If you’re new to Oregon, after taking the initial module by the Oregon Pain Management Commission, you are required to earn 6 additional hours of “pain management or the treatment of terminally ill and dying patients” to meet your Oregon Medical License. CAPC is a free resource to help you meet that requirement.

Palliative care is an integral part of our care delivery system but it takes all of us being aware and informed to create the best experience possible for the community we serve. If you have any question please reach out to Larissa Smith at Larissa.smith@salemhealth.org
