Spine Center services for patients

At the Salem Health Spine Center, we understand that back, neck or radiating pain(s) can be worrisome and sometimes an expert review is required. While the majority of these issues can be resolved with nonsurgical options (medication, physical therapy, injections, or health and lifestyle changes), sometimes treatments don't provide you the relief you were looking for. If this is the case, then talking to your provider about referring you to the Salem Health Spine Center should be your next step.

What happens next?

1

Once we have a referral from your provider and a recent MRI, one of our intake specialists will contact you and collect detailed information about your history and current symptoms. We will get recent imaging records and send it over to one of the neurosurgeons in our community to review.

2

During the review process, a neurosurgeon will go over our intake, your medical records and your imaging to help determine the best course of care for you. The neurosurgeon may ask to see you in the office or may refer you to one of the many spine specialists we collaborate with in the community to improve your likelihood of recovery.

3

After the review is complete, expect contact from one of our experienced nurse navigators to help coordinate your care. We help with coordinating your imaging, provide educational information and keep your referring provider updated on the status of your recommendation/referral.
