Salem Hospital Foundation Appoints New Board Members and Officers

Alex Casebeer, Eric Fiskum and Larry Goodreau have joined the Salem Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Alex Casebeer, Eric Fiskum and Larry Goodreau have joined the Salem Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

The Foundation is a charitable organization that supports medical and medically related projects. Its 15 volunteer directors help raise, manage and distribute Foundation funds.

Casebeer is sales manager, and part of the executive management team at Capitol Auto Group. Fiskum is a real estate broker with Prudential Real Estate Professionals, and Goodreau is banker with Columbia State Bank in Salem.

New officers, beginning on October 1, are: Chair Kathy Gordon; Vice Chair Robert Ponec, M.D.; and Secretary/Treasurer Mari Bailey. Other board members are Garth Brandaw, Mike Delk, Barbara Furer, Jim Griggs, Barbara Halsey, Bud Pierce, M.D., James Wasenmiller, M.D. and Kelly Yunker.

Last year the Foundation approved over 2 million dollars for various projects including scholarships for students pursuing careers in the medical field, patient assistance and hospital equipment.
