Neuromuscular rehabilitation

Independence is the ultimate goal of every rehabilitation program.

Because the challenges posed by neuromuscular injuries or diseases can affect people in so many different ways, our experienced team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and psychologists function as a team. They work together to build a rehabilitation program specific to each patient with the goal of achieving the highest level of function possible for that person.

Examples of neuromuscular diseases or injuries which require neuromuscular therapy include:

  • Stroke
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Amputations
  • Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, post-polio syndrome
  • Balance/vestibular issues

Our multidisciplinary approach teaches techniques that:

  • Increase strength, flexibility, and mobility
  • Improve cognitive function
  • Increase communication and language
  • Help you adjust to disability
  • Reduce pain and physical limitations
  • Restore ability to perform daily life skills
  • Foster lifestyle behaviors that will maximize independence and healthy living
