Heather E. Hoops, MD

Bio
Dr. Hoops grew up in Colorado and earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa, then completed her fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before moving to Oregon in 2013. Prior to coming to Salem Health, she previously worked as a trauma and acute care surgeon and surgical intensivist at a Level I trauma center in Portland. When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time traveling, watching sports and being outdoors with her family. Her other interests include hernia repair, trauma and acute care surgery, and critical care.
