Bio
Dr. El-Baba completed internal medicine and pediatrics in his hometown of Detroit and then received training in pulmonary and critical care in Los Angeles, before relocating to Salem. He enjoys playing soccer, training MMA, playing guitar, listening to music, travel and spending time with his friends and family. He is excited about Oregon because he has heard so much about the beautiful scenery and hopes to add hiking to his hobby list.
Interests
Dr. El-Baba is a pulmonary and critical care provider who spends most of his time in the medical intensive care unit. He excels at treating complex patients as the leader of a multidisciplinary team with the goal of having impactful and meaningful patient care. He is thoughtful and empathetic towards his patients and their families, while simultaneously being straightforward and honest during difficult conversations. When he is practicing pulmonary medicine, he excels at advanced pulmonary topics such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary infections and pulmonary hypertension. Dr El-Baba has also completed pediatric training, which provides him insight into many congenital and chronic medical conditions of childhood. This makes him an excellent provider as young adults transition from pediatric to adult care.
