Just like the incidents that have occurred over the last two years have been unprecedented, the commitment to community demonstrated by our Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics employees and medical staff has also been unprecedented. Through a pandemic, wildfires, extreme heat, ice storms, shortages of PPE, syringes, COVID tests, and even bacon, you have continued to show up and care for our patients.
There is really no gesture large enough to say thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout the pandemic. But I am pleased to share that on June 1 -3, we’re going to give it our best shot. We’re bringing an experience to both Salem and West Valley that we hope will allow you to step away from the last two and a half years and really have some fun. We’re bringing a carnival to campus and I want to personally invite all our employees, volunteers and medical staff to this celebration of the Greatest Staff on Earth!
The carnival will be at our Salem campus on June 1 for 24 hours (beginning at 10 a.m.) and at the West Valley campus on June 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You are welcome to attend either or both celebrations – all you need is your badge. I hope when you visit, you will be transported to a place where face-to-face smiles and laughter fill the air; smells of cotton candy, popcorn and festive food take you back to happier times; and a magical midway of nostalgic video and carnival games offer opportunities to compete against your coworkers and win a prize if your skill rings true. I hope you will take the time to attend and when you leave, I hope that you, the Greatest Staff on Earth feel thanked, rejuvenated, and happy for this moment of respite and fun!
