WVH offers CT exams for Mako surgery planning

26 Jan 2025

Dallas campus appointments serve more patients

By: Jonathan Fetterley, Imaging Services director

To build imaging capacity across Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics, we introduced a new study type in the West Valley Hospital imaging department the week of Jan. 13. The WVH imaging department now accepts computed tomography (CT) extremity orders for Mako robotic arm assisted surgery planning.

Offering these CT exams at WVH gives patients more availability and locations to schedule their appointment and get these scans completed as quickly as possible, helping ensure surgical planning happens in a timely manner.

The West Valley imaging department is an excellent place to send patients for their diagnostic imaging needs. The Dallas campus is easier to navigate for mobility-challenged patients and usually has appointments available sooner than the Salem Hospital campus.
