Wound Care Center earns distinction award

Salem Hospital’s Advanced Wound Care Center has earned the Center of Distinction Award by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s leading provider of advanced wound care. Healogics partners with 600 hospitals nationwide, including Salem Hospital.

This award recognizes centers achieving outstanding clinical outcomes in wound healing rates and patient satisfaction, maintaining these measures for a consecutive 12 months. Our center averaged a 92% healing rate and 96% patient satisfaction rate from January to December 2019.

The team of clinical staff provides highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Leading edge treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
