We’re a Top Workplace again! Enjoy the ice cream

Salem Health has again been designated by The Oregonian as a Top Workplace. This is the third time we have earned this honor, and the second year in a row.

We are a Top Workplace because of the culture you help build every day. A culture doesn’t grow by accident, but through intention, hard work and a commitment to doing our best. It happens as we all learn to solve problems and get better each day. These qualities are true of you, and you should be proud of your accomplishments.

Salem Health is a special place, where thousands of talented people from diverse walks of life work together to provide the highest quality care to anyone who needs it. Thank you for your compassion and professionalism, and for treating your work here as more than just a job.

As humans, we all share a deep desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves. I have found that feeling working with you to care for the hurting and the sick. I hope you feel that way too.

To celebrate this honor, we will host several free ice cream sundae events for staff and providers on Wednesday, Oct. 4 in Creekside Overflow from 2 to 4 p.m. and in the Creekside salad bar area from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. West Valley Hospital will have ice cream available at Café West from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and in the staff lounge from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m.
