To better serve you and your patients at Salem Health, respiratory navigators want to make sure you know we’re here to serve. As a reminder, use the RT Eval and treat order with “Navigator” in the comments.
We encourage you to consult with us as early as possible, so we can ensure your patients can qualify, and get the education they need and prescribed DME. This also ensures they get the needed supplies on the day they leave. We can assess and help qualify the respiratory needs 48 hours prior to discharge.
By ordering respiratory navigators earlier in the patient stay — instead of day of discharge — the discharge process will not only be more efficient, it will better meet patient needs.
