Restraint ordering and documentation is mandated by CMS, TJC and the State of Oregon. Salem Health underwent a regulatory review of restraint and seclusion policies to ensure alignment with regulating agencies. Several areas of opportunity were identified to align our policies with accreditation and CMS expectations. The changes bring Salem Health into alignment with CMS, TJC and the State of Oregon; they do not go above the requirements.
