Thursday, March 30 is National Doctors’ Day, the annual celebration of physicians, their work and their countless contributions to our communities. This day not only commemorates the sacrifices made by doctors, but it also reminds us all of the noble professions that save the lives of millions around the world.
It’s a day to say “thank you” to our physicians for all they do to keep us, our family and our friends safe and well.
Doctors are present at all times, and continuity is a fundamental feature of your work. You continuously provide care in all stages of life, as well as through the ongoing follow-up and coordination with other levels of care and health care professionals. Continuity represents your constant preparation, ongoing research and the ability to adapt and build resilience to change, technologies, methodologies and strategies. Continuity is always providing what is necessary for the patient’s wellbeing and betterment of the entire healthcare team.
On behalf of the entire nursing team, we would like to extend our appreciation for your compassion, professionalism and dedication. We admire your leadership, collaborative attitude, and partnership towards our common goal of providing exceptional care and positive experiences for our patients. There are many “best” attributes of our Medical Staff, but the very best is you!
Although March 30 is the “official” day of recognition, please know you are appreciated every day of the year for your commitment to our patients you care for and our team in which you surround yourself every day. As physicians, you share in our deepest joys and sorrows, providing guidance, care and empathy at all stages of life. When there are tears, you are a shoulder. When there is pain, you are medicine. When there is tragedy, you are hope.
We are so thankful we can lean on your strength, learn from your expertise and grow from your leadership. Today, and every day, you have our sincerest admiration and we thank you!
