Dr. Kazmi joined Salem Health in July 2018 as stroke medical director and since then has instituted a stroke program, which is rapidly growing. He earned his medical degree from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan and completed his Neurology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where he was chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in neurocritical care at the same institution. Dr. Kazmi believes that increasing stroke awareness is of paramount importance in order to improve outcomes at a community level, state level and national level.
