After working with Dr. Marvel for five years – nothing has changed. He continues to go above and beyond in working with patients, families and nursing staff EVERY day. Even on very busy and challenging days, he shows compassion, patience and continual exceptional teaching to everyone.
How can someone show so much concern, even after taking extra time to teach and share the latest evidence-based practice research he has studied? Dr. Marvel even copied a research article for me and handwrote my name on it. He also excels in making sure family members attend MDRs.
Recently Dr. Marvel was very busy and assisted and taught the newer medical student in placing a femoral central line in a trauma patient. I consider myself a very patient person and really enjoy teaching, but I could never compare myself to Dr. Marvel.
I just had submit his name for this award …. I’m getting weary of witnessing this exceptional, brilliant and caring behavior, day after day, year after year, without saying something.
