There is a project underway to consolidate the Salem Health Professional Services entity into the larger Salem Health organization, with a target go-live date of July 1, 2020.
Professional claims dropped from the PB billing module will now show the Tax ID, organizational NPI and business entity name of Salem Health. For the time being, patient-facing communications (statements, letters, etc.) will retain “Salem Health Medical Group” labeling on the PB side to reduce confusion for patients regarding billing. Insurance payor claim reimbursement is not expected to be affected by this change.
Websites, onsite signage, and documents are all being updated to reflect the Salem Health name.
