Starting April 15, Salem Health will stop performing scoliosis X-ray exams at both its hospitals. Moving forward, please refer patients to either Salem Clinic or Salem Radiology Consultants.
Neither Salem Hospital nor West Valley Hospital have the software/hardware on their X-ray equipment needed to perform the latest high-quality scoliosis S-ray exams. (Salem Health’s exams use two separate images; however, industry standard is one image.)
Salem Health will consider offering these X-rays through the new Woodburn clinic opening next winter and potentially after purchasing a new system in two to four years.
