This program will expand services, showing the commitment of OHSU Partners to meet the pediatric health needs of the community. Many local providers have been part of the planning, including Salem Pediatric Clinic, Childhood Health, Kaiser and Salem Clinic Family Practice.
OHSU will begin recruiting for the lead pediatric hospitalist, with more pediatric hospitalists to follow. The lead will work collaboratively with the OHSU and Salem Health teams to develop 24/7 care. Regular meetings will be held to keep all pediatric and family practice providers involved and informed.
We look forward to improving care and quality of life for providers seeking to invest more time in their ambulatory practice. The program also allows higher acuity patients to remain in Salem, closer to home.
