Because Salem Health is committed to value-based care, we belong to the Oregon Accountable Care Organization (ACO) to increase value for our patients. Building these partnerships is vital to our WanleyB-062215success, and having integrated electronic health records is a critical aspect.

Last year we developed infrastructure to support the ACO. Next, we’ll identify the “ways and means” to support our partners, which include enhancements in electronic health systems. As this develops, we look forward to sharing details.  In the meantime, we are:

  • Joining forces with Salem Clinic on Community Connect;
  • Partnering with WVP to provide an imaging interface for providers; and
  • Working with WVP on a new interoperability framework tool that will greatly improve data sharing, called Carequality.
