Paracentesis and albumin infusion moved to Imaging

23 Apr 2023

April 18 merger will improve patient care

By: Jonathan Fetterley, Imaging Services director

Previously, patients received paracentesis and albumin infusion care in two locations on campus: imaging department and infusion clinic. On Tuesday, April 18, this care moved to just one location. Now, both the paracentesis procedure and albumin infusion take place in the imaging department.

Why did we make this change?

  1. Appointments will be shorter because the infusion may be able to start during the paracentesis.
  2. Patients will only need to go to one location and not travel around the hospital campus.
  3. Hours of availability will be extended to earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon.
