To reduce confusion and variation in diabetes orders, the Diabetes Affinity Team begins these changes in December:
One DKA order set will be used house wide – the evidence-based Adult DKA Order Set. Currently, two sets are being used (Adult DKA and Inpatient DKA), which can cause both confusion and variation of care for patients.
