“Updates in the Multidisciplinary Management of Colorectal Cancer Metastatic to the Liver”
Describe the actionable mutations with treatment implications in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Understand the role of liver-directed therapy including hepatic arterial infusion and SIRT for patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastases. Appreciate the sequencing of treatment for patients with metachronous and synchronous metastatic disease including neoadjuvant systemic therapy, hepatic resection, adjuvant treatment and integration of short-course or long course chemoradiation.

Learning objectives: Attendees will be updated on the current state of the art for colon cancer screening, be able to compare the pros and cons of colonoscopy, occult blood testing, fecal DNA testing, and other methods. Other goals include an understanding of when to start screening, the data behind the ACS recommendation to start early at age 45, when to stop screening, the impact of screening overall, and how to present the options to patients in primary care.
