Nominee selected for WVH Medical Staff President

Nominating Committee recommends Zubaria Iram, MD

The West Valley Hospital Medical Executive Committee is seeking a replacement for the current Medical Staff President with the upcoming resignation of Corey Goldberg, MD. Dr. Goldberg is taking a position on the East Coast and will be greatly missed in our community. 

As defined in our Medical Staff Bylaws, candidates for Medical Staff Officers are selected by a Nominating Committee comprised of the current Medical Staff President (Dr. Goldberg), Medical Staff President Elect (vacant) and past president (Barbara Hoover, DO).

The Nominating Committee is grateful for the interest and support from medical staff members interested in serving our community. After careful consideration, the Committee recommends Zubaria Iram, MD to the Medical Staff as the candidate for President. Per the Salem Health Medical Staff Bylaws, this notification will be posted for 30 days and at the end of this time, ballots will be sent out to the Active and Associate Medical Staff members for vote.

• American Board of Internal Medicine certified
• Active member of the West Valley Hospital Medical Staff since January 2022
• Active member of the Salem Hospital Medical Staff since November 2021
