New format to personalize workflows

The Epic Foundation project allowed us to update our inpatient provider orientation to provide a more robust, efficiency-based training program.

New format

• Starting with the March 25 session, the program will focus on personalization techniques for more efficient workflows
• Orientation will now last a day and a half :
• Epic inpatient training — all day, day one (Monday)
• Medical staff orientation — half day, day two (Tuesday) — ends at noon

If you have new physicians coming into your practice on or after March 25, 2019, please be aware of the duration change. This orientation session is critical for equipping providers to begin seeing their hospitalized patients independently.

Minor changes were also made to outpatient orientation. Please contact your administration if you have questions.
