Timely and accurate diagnostic testing for Type 1 Diabetes will improve treatment decisions when we discharge our newly diagnosed Diabetes patients, thanks to an Epic enhancement that began Sept. 20.

The Diabetes Steering Committee requested this enhancement to simplify providers’ work in ordering diagnostic lab testing for Type 1 Diabetes. The new “DM Type 1 Diagnostic Panel” is now available in EPIC.
