New laparoscopic scopes, cameras coming soon

Drop-in sessions with vendor set for Aug. 14 through 16

Salem Health has invested in new laparoscopic scopes and cameras — and they are here! Transition to the new equipment begins on Aug. 15. They function very similarly to our prior scopes, but now have updated high-definition technology and extra features, which work with our new monitors.

• The vendor will be here Aug. 14, 15 and 16 for physician and operating room staff drop-in sessions about how to use the cameras.
• The vendor, OR and sterile processing teams will start the transition on Aug. 15, which will be completed by Friday, Aug. 16.
• The vendor will be here Aug. 17 through 23 for onsite support during the first week of using the new equipment and will return four to six weeks later to follow up on your specific questions.
