We’re excited to announce Salem Health has selected Optum as your new Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) administrator. We will transition from BenefitHelp Solutions (BHS) to Optum starting Jan. 1, 2017.
If you elected an FSA for 2017, or are enrolled in the Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) in 2017, Optum mailed a welcome kit to your home to walk you through setting up, and how to access your account information.
For those with FSAs
Optum will mail you two Optum® Payment MasterCards®. It is at your discretion to provide a card to your covered dependents (e.g. spouse).
For those enrolled in the CDHP
When you elect coverage under the CDHP, Salem Health places contributions into your HSA. You must set up your HSA through Optum in order to receive this money. Participants are encouraged to complete account setup as soon as possible in order to gain access to these monies, and your contributions, if elected.
Account set-up assistance
Optum will be onsite in January 2017 to help you set up your account if you are needing assistance. Details on the specific date and time will be announced in the Daily Dose.
