Happy Valentine’s Day! A new BPA will pop up when a CT with contrast is ordered on a patient with a contrast allergy starting Feb. 14.
The BPA allows you to go directly to a Contrast Allergy order set with all the needed orders to prevent contract reaction. This change should help avoid delays in the care of patients with contrast allergies by ensuring that all orders intended to prevent contrast reaction are placed at the time the imaging study is ordered. A tip sheet will be available through the Radar dashboard on Feb. 10.
