For the past few months, Salem Health has trialed a Meds to Beds program on the D5 unit. It gave patients the choice to receive discharge prescriptions at their bedside before discharge on weekdays. The test program has been a success, and will now be expanded to weekends. Starting Sept. 8, the program will also be offered on 5NW.
While Outpatient Pharmacy is currently closed to the public on weekends, it will be opened to the public seven days a week starting in November.
