As defined in our Medical Staff bylaws, candidates for the future medical staff president elect position are selected by a nominating committee comprising the current medical staff president, medical staff president elect and three past presidents.
Notification went out to medical staff via Common Ground on Oct. 29, inviting interested physicians to apply by Nov. 6 for the position open effective January 2018.
The Nominating Committee reviewed the applications, and the candidate is Joe Stalfire, MD. Per the Salem Health Medical Staff Bylaws, this notification will be posted for 30 days. At the end of this timeframe, ballots will be sent out to the active and associate medical staff members for vote.
