Our clinic at the state fairgrounds has vaccinated 20,000 people since opening on Jan. 6, just days after the Governor announced she would extend eligibility to all groups within Phase 1a to be vaccinated. We are in this for the long haul – and will serve the entire state, if needed.
Starting Jan. 25, the clinic functions as another department of Salem Health. Josh Franke, oncology service line director, will be interim manager, reporting to John Bauer, chief legal officer. Josh is building the structure to support a long-term service. We will “check and adjust” as we go, and are excited for this opportunity to serve our community.
