Interim vice president of Surgical Services

  Deni Hoover has been appointed interim vice president of Surgical Services. She has been with Salem Health for the past 12 years, most recently as the orthopedic, neuromuscular, rehabilitation service line director for the past two years. In this role, Deni has had the opportunity to work with the surgical services team in focused areas (i.e. Joint Replacement and Spine Centers of Excellence), as well as in cross-divisional process improvement work. Prior to her current role, she was director of employee wellness, benefits, and compensation. Deni earned her MBA from Willamette University and serves as a contributing professor in MBA programs, both at Willamette and OHSU, where she teaches project management. Deni lives with her husband, two mastiffs, and three small cows. In her spare time, she enjoys running, cycling, and swimming, and has recently been trying to perfect her paddle boarding and snowshoeing skills.  

Deni is currently working with the outpatient rehabilitation team to put the finishing touches on the new Building M, which opened to patients Feb. 9. Deni's effective transition date will be Feb. 21.
