IntelliSpace PACS upgrade improves function, security

10 Apr 2022

After limited downtime, upgrade goes live April 19

By: Chris Koller, imaging informatics administrator

An updated version of the IntelliSpace PACS application goes live on April 19 at 6 a.m.  During the upgrade, expect a downtime of up to 8 hours starting on Monday April 18 at 10 p.m.

The current version is no longer supported by Philips Medical Systems or Salem Health. To improve performance, application compatibility and security, we need to upgrade to the new version, which maintains the same look, feel and functionality that users are familiar with, with the exception of a new log in screen.

Problems? A virtual Command Center will be available during the upgrade, in case users encounter issues. During, or after go-live, call the Solution Center at 503-814-4357 and choose option 1 for IntelliSpace PACS Go-Live Support.

Key points during the upgrade and post go-live:

  • On Monday April 18 starting at 10 p.m. there will be a limited system-wide downtime of IntelliSpace PACS.
  • During this downtime, newly acquired imaging studies and 3 months of the most recent previous imaging studies will still be available via the PACS downtime system.
  • The downtime system will be available via the IntelliSpace PACS desktop icon.
  • All imaging orders and results will still be accessible within Epic during the limited downtime period.
  • The upgrade goes live by 6 a.m. on April 19
