Salem Health’s Patient Safety team is finalizing a new process to insure safe, standardized wound management, starting Wednesday, March 1.
We’re addressing the issue of retained dressing materials in wounds that required packing. The new process involves improving visibility through labels and photos of the labels in Epic. A Test of Change in the OR, the TRACS team and on the ICU is going well, so we look forward to launching it organization-wide.
