To help address a financial gap, Health Information Management is changing its hours. With other operational changes, HIM's savings will total about $83,000.

Beginning March 31, the HIM department will no longer be staffed on weekends.

Please continue to call 503-814-5750, as we will still answer and triage weekend calls to ensure requests for medical records are processed and sent to meet patient care needs.

Other requests will be deferred to business hours.

Over the past year, there has been a steady decline of weekend calls and visits made to the HIM department for chart requests and physician assistance.

Having patients’ health information readily available in Epic allows records to be released remotely, which decreases the demand for in-person assistance and therefore the need for daily staffing.

New HIM hours for hospital staff and continuing care requests:

Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. to midnight.
