Here are some of the highlights from the Feb. 3 Compact Implementation Committee:

The Common Ground newsletter continues to be refined to make it relevant and user friendly. You may notice subtle changes as the communication tool is fine tuned. The biggest change is the inclusion of more links to content as opposed to scrolling through a lengthy document. This is standard practice for e-newsletters, and allows us to gather data that will help us measure engagement over time. This information will be extremely helpful in determining what types of information our providers are, or are not, interested in. Thank you for your continued input.

Dr. Mark Richardson, Dean of the OHSU School of Medicine and Executive Vice President of the Faculty Practice Plan, and Peter Rapp, CEO of OHSU Partners, talked with the CIC about the affiliation and the unique physician compacts at each organization. The affiliation is on track, with much joint work underway on objectives for the first 18 months. While the two organizations are different in form and structure, the existing physician compacts at each are very similar. The compacts both have parallel values and intent, with an emphasis on communication. Communication and transparency are especially important where conflict exists. Each culture is different, but it is important to identify the commonalities and build from them. The goal is to eventually build an affiliation compact with providers from both entities.
