A lot has happened in 30 years and Louann Hettwer has been here to experience it all! Joining Salem Hospital in June 1986, Louann was here to applaud our first open-heart surgery, the move of Rehabilitation Services to its own Center Street building and the opening of the Psychiatry building on Oak St. SE in 1988. While Salem Health has continued to grow and change, Louann’s wonderful charm has stayed the same. She is known and loved for her ever-present smile, quick wit and genuine kindness. It goes without saying that she knows her stuff when it comes to credentialing! Medical staff have relied on her for years and many call her friend.
To honor Louann and celebrate her years of service, please stop by the Medical Staff Office the week of Feb. 27 – March 3 (except for Wednesday, her normal day off) to say goodbye and launch Louann into retirement.
