Farewell from Dr. Furman

I have been blessed in my life in many ways, and include the opportunity to work at Salem Health over the last two years as one of those blessings. However, due to family situations, I am planning to move my family back to Pennsylvania.
The administration at Salem Health was very understanding and compassionate in the transition process, allowing me time to make plans and look for work closer to home. My last day at Salem Health will be Feb. 23, but I won’t be moving until after the school year ends.
I will look to personally connect with as many of you as I can. I look back proudly on accomplishments I have made, but will mostly forever cherish the relationships I've formed with so many of you. I am driven to a day when the complexity of healthcare is replaced by true joy in the practice of medicine. Some days it feels like a fantasy, but I still have the energy and passion to do everything I can to make it a reality.
