Due to the time and resources committed to the new clinic acquisition and other priority projects, information services leadership has decided to move the Epic 19.11 go-live date to April 13. This will allow more time to review and implement important features of the upgrade and complete the project as efficiently as possible.
Details about enhancements, training and go-live information will be available in the coming months.
After 19.11 is complete, IS still plans to move to a quarterly upgrade cadence. With a slight adjustment, the plan is to implement 20.2 in August 2020, 20.5 in November 2020 and subsequent upgrades in February, May, August and November of 2021. For now, sights are set on a successful upgrade to 19.11 which will help Salem Health stay current with health care technology and improve patient care.
