Epic: Change to palliative care consult order

Changes improve efficiency and care

Changes include:

  • New button to indicate that you paged a palliative care triage provider if ordering urgent (within four hours).
  • Hard stops on the “Reason for consults” as well as additional reasons.
  • Clear verbiage in the comment box “Orders placed after 1630 will be triaged for the next day. If urgent, please page provider on call.”
