Drs. Boulay and Nair join Salem Health Sept. 2

Surgeons will be at Salem Hospital full-time

Catherine Boulay, MD, and Rajan Nair, MD, will provide general surgery and bariatric surgical services on the Salem Hospital campus.

Boulay_Catherine_MD
Catherine Boulay, MD, was educated and trained in New York City, where she earned her medical degree from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, then stayed on to complete her internship and residency. She made the move from New York to Salem in 2007 to practice general and bariatric surgery, and enjoys seeing her patients achieve a healthier, higher quality of life after surgery. When not caring for patients, Dr. Boulay enjoys hiking, gardening, travel and spending time with her family.

 

Nair_Rajan_MD
Rajan Nair, MD, initially studied and trained in Arizona, earning his medical degree at the University of Arizona, followed by his internship and residency before performing a research fellowship in transplantation immunology at Stanford University. He began practicing in Salem in 1999, and while he primarily performs general and laparoscopic bariatric surgery, he also pursues clinical interests in quality and performance improvement, as well as patient safety. In his free time he enjoys distance running, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
