Dragon Medical One go-live Oct. 22

13 Oct 2019

Get ready for new dictation software

The Dragon Medical One go-live is scheduled for Oct. 22 at 7 a.m. A command center will be active throughout the week to address any key issues.

Some items of importance for the go-live timeframe are:

  • If you have issues during go-live, call the help desk and select option #7.
  • Around 200 Power Microphones will be distributed throughout the organization prior to go-live.
    • Look for the “Dragon Dictation Enabled Computer” green visual indicators. They’ll be in areas that are typically used for provider documentation.
    • If you frequently work at a station that doesn’t have one, please call the solution center to let them know so it can be added to a list for potential future expansion.
  • There will be a two-hour window from 5 to 7 a.m. on Oct. 22 during which the current Dragon application will not be functional as we transition to the new version.

There will be several opportunities for end-user trainings, which will occur at 7 a.m., 12 p.m. (noon) and 5 p.m. on each of the following dates:

  • Monday, Oct. 14
  • Thursday, Oct. 17
  • Friday, Oct. 18

Please sign up in the physicians lounge in Building A or email Larissa Smith. If you're unable to sign up in advance, we will do our best to accommodate drop-ins.

Each session is just an hour long and will start promptly to allow the most time to customize and optimize.

Training material will be posted under the Intranet hompage, under Epic and Providers tab. If you miss one of the training sessions, more will be added following go-live. Check back in Common Ground for dates and times.
